This document outlines the house rules and guidelines for authors contributing to the journal Intersectia. Adherence to these guidelines is essential for ensuring consistency and clarity in the journal’s content. Authors may choose to follow either APA or MLA style for their submissions.
General Guidelines
All submitted manuscripts must represent original work that has not been previously published or is under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Length: The target length for submissions is 3000 words to 5000 words. However, deviations may be considered based on the content.
Formatting: Manuscripts should be double-spaced, with 1-inch margins on all sides. Font size should be 12pt Times New Roman or a similar serif font.
Manuscript Structure
APA Style:
Title Page: Include the title, author’s name, affiliation, and a running head.
Abstract: A concise summary of the article (150-250 words).
Keywords: A list of 5-7 keywords.
.MLA Style:
Header: Include the author’s last name and page number in the upper right corner of each page.
Heading: Include the title, author’s name, and course information (if applicable) centered on the first page.
Citation Style
Authors must consistently use either APA or MLA style throughout the manuscript. In-text citations and the reference or works cited list should adhere to the chosen style.
